Digital Sengerema - A Step Closer to Digitalization
At Simba Health, we are excited to share an important update on our "Digital Sengerema" project at Sengerema Hospital. Thanks to the incredible support from our donors, we are making significant progress towards implementing a fully digital archiving system. What started as an ambitious project to transform the hospital from paper to digital is now becoming a reality.
All Computers Set Up and Ready for Use
We are proud to announce that all donated computers have been fully upgraded and installed. They are now equipped with additional memory and SSD drives, making them fully capable of handling the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. This achievement was made possible through the hard work of our vocational school interns, who gained valuable practical experience by contributing to this collaborative project.
Staff Training Sessions
To facilitate the transition to a digital system, we have already completed two comprehensive training sessions for the medical staff at Sengerema Hospital. During these sessions, they learned how to efficiently use the new EPR system. The staff's enthusiasm is evident, and they are eager to start using the system in their daily operations.
Digitizing 70 Years of Paper Archives Begins
A historic milestone is approaching: this Thursday, the hospital will begin digitizing 70 years of paper records. This enormous task is crucial not only for improving efficiency and patient safety but also for ensuring that Sengerema Hospital can submit future claims to insurance companies and the government without any issues.
