New Wound Care Nurse

As of March 1, Wound Care Nurses Bertha and January have been joined by Yohanna. He is a nurse and with this good professional background he can also handle the care for more complex wounds. In addition to caring for the patients in the department, he has also taken over the dressing changes of all children with burns in the operating room from doctor Koen, who has returned to the Netherlands.

This means that this important care will continue from now on, regardless of the presence of the international health care doctors (formerly tropical doctors) who now only have a supervisory role. And Koen's successor will soon have two mornings a week free for other tasks. A major asset that was made possible thanks to the proceeds from the Christmas market of the Slingeland Hospital, with which we can pay Yohanna's salary for a year.
