At work in the new operating room

When Erik and Jiska left for their leave, the operating rooms had just opened and everything still had to get going. But in the meantime, the operating rooms are buzzing with activity. In the trauma operating room, Erik regularly uses the X-ray tube to treat complex bone fractures. And in the “minor theater”, the dressing changes of patients with burns are done under sedation by our new wound nurse Yohanna. Usually under the watchful eye of a large group of co-assistants from Mwanza who are doing their internships in Sengerema and are being trained as doctors. Plenty of time is taken for washing instructions and then they watch the operations where education is also given. Who knows, they may return in the near future to work here themselves.
